ABOUT JULIE MAE BROUSSEAU
In June of 1998 at a women's conference at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship it was prophesied that Julie was suppressing artistic talent; after this prophesy Julie received what she calls, "a download from the Lord." On July 4th, 1998 she first began expressing herself artistically.
Much of her early work is done in colored pencil because her artistic journey began right around the same time as another journey in her life: a cross-country solo bicycle ride (see below to read her journal). In October of 1998 she began to attend a local art class taught by Linda Bull Neilan. She uses these classes as recreational therapy and the side effects have turned her insurance office into a lovely gallery.
Julie Mae Brousseau resides in Gales Ferry, CT with her husband, Brad. Outside of art class she spends much of her time at her business, Hourglass Insurance Services, Inc., working with Community of Hope, a non-profit organization that helps women post-rehabilitation, and, of course, traveling as often as she can. Many of her pieces have been inspired by the places she's visited.
If you wish to purchase any of Julie's artwork, please send her a message on the contact page.
